Hi there! I'm Nadia Black, the founder of No Swipe Date Night.
When I tried to jump back into the dating scene several years ago after my divorce, I immediately turned to dating apps because that's what everyone suggested.
At first, it was exhilarating! The Dopamine hit from getting matches was addictive, but follow up conversations were usually dry and boring. Wyd? isn't a sexy way to start to get to know someone, but it was a very common message to receive over and over again.
If, by chance, I did happen to stumble across someone who sounded appealing, the chances of them being a flake who stands me up or a catfish who didn't match their profile picture were pretty high.
After being stood up for a date I was pretty excited for, I decided to delete ALL of my dating apps once and for all. And you will too once you give No Swipe Date Night a try!

At our events, we bring together a diverse group of people who are exploring Radical Relationships. We're the weird ones who want deeper love and we're willing to do the work to get it. That means we have the hard conversations, express ourselves authentically, ask for what we want, and have the courage to be vulnerable.
That might feel a bit scary at first, but don't worry you're safe here. You're safe to be exactly who you are without fear of being judged or shamed.

What are the ages of the people at the event?
The minimum age to join us is 21 and there is no max age. Each event is curated to make sure that you'll be matched with people within your age range preferences.
I want to join, but I'm a bit anxious. Can you tell me what to expect at the event?
Absolutely! Being nervous is normal, and I'm happy to help walk you through what to expect at the event.
When you arrive, you will fill out a name tag and get your Date Card. You can mingle with other guests while we wait for everyone to arrive. Once everyone is ready, your Date Night host will walk you through the instructions for the night, including where the Date Stations are and how to fill out your card. Then you will go to your first Date Station to meet your first potential match of the evening.
You will have 6 minutes to chat and get a feel for their vibe. Your host will give you a 1-minute heads up to start winding down your conversation. At the end of each round, you will get a signal to move to your next Date Station. Repeat this process for all 6 dates.
At the end of the night, we will have more mingle time while you finish filling out your date card. After the event, your host will tally up the matches and send you the list of your connections plus their contact info so you can follow up with them. We'll even give you a sample text/email you can send. You take it from there :)
Where is the event located?
We host events all at various locations. When you receive your invitation, it will include the location where your event will be hosted.
I'm queer. Am I welcome here?
Absolutely! We love and accept all of our LGBTQIAA+ community. We're an inclusive, welcoming space where you can find other people who get you.
I'm polyamorous. Can I come too?
Hell yeah! We're inclusive of all relationship styles, including all forms of ethical non-monogamy.
Will it be just dudes?
We get this question a lot. The answer is a resounding NOPE. In fact, at some of our events the women outnumber the men by a pretty decent margin. We also get plenty of gender non-conforming people at our events too, so if you're trans or non-binary you'll fit right in!
